Kitchen Colours in 2018: Our Predictions for the New Year
We love the industrial styles, dark blue cabinets and gold hardware that have been so popular in kitchens throughout 2017. What about kitchen colours in 2018? In this blog, we will take a look at the shades predicted to be big in the New Year, which is perfect if you are looking for some inspiration for your new kitchen.
Darker hues look like they may still be a popular option, but blue may no longer be the only option to be considered. Dark green hues create a heritage look that works particularly well with our solid wood cabinets, and Farrow & Ball’s Studio Green looks fantastic on both Shaker and Traditional cabinet doors.
Pantone’s colour of the year for 2018 is Ultraviolet, a rich purple tone. Whilst this shade may be a little bright for some, Farrow & Ball’s Pelt is a more muted option for those who still want to make a statement. The aubergine colour is a striking look for any kitchen, and it pairs perfectly with gold accessories which are set to replace the copper, brass and rose gold accents that have been popular through 2017.
Blue has become a classic kitchen colour, but for an update in 2018, murkier options like Inchyra Blue from Farrow & Ball give this contemporary trend a twist. This grey-blue is a fantastic way to add colour and works well as an alternative to more neutral white, black or grey kitchens.
