Oak Kitchens in Brinjal: October’s Bespoke Colour of the Month
Autumn is upon us, and the early signs suggest that warm seasonal shades are going to be extremely popular over the coming months. Fiery reds, deep oranges and rich purples are amongst the top designer picks for Autumn-Winter 2014/15.
With this in mind, we thought we would highlight a favourite colour from Farrow & Ball that is available as a ‘bespoke’ option for our solid oak frontals. Brinjal, a deep aubergine shade, is a most delightful colour and perfect for this time of year.
If utilising this shade within oak kitchens, we’d recommend choosing Brinjal for a feature island, or perhaps mismatching wall cabinets in Brinjal with base cabinets finished with frontals painted in Elephants Breath (from our Accents range) or Charleston Gray (Strong Accents). Brinjal is a strong purple with rouge undertones and appears warmer or colder depending on the light; first seeming a pale reddish shade, this colour will darken with further coats and as the paint cures. The rosy tones pair beautifully with warm greys or lighter purples (like those colours suggested above). Alternatively, choose a coffee and cream colour scheme with aubergine at its centre.
Whatever you choose, Brinjal is sure to brighten your kitchen on brisk autumnal nights: and there are plenty of complementary shades to consider within our ‘standard’ collection of door frontal colours. If you’d like to discuss your colour scheme or would like advice about any of our cabinet options, please do not hesitate to contact us.
