How to Install a Spice Rack in Solid Wood Kitchens
If you are pushed for space or have a lot of accessories to keep tidy, our solid oak spice rack could be the perfect addition to your kitchen.
These spice racks feature three shelves and are designed to keep worktop space clear whilst ensuring your herbs and spices are easy to find, with capacity for up to 20 bottles of herbs (depending on their size). Each rack is made from European oak and has a hard-wearing lacquered finish to match our cabinet panels.
The rack measures 400mm (w) x 400mm (h) x 70mm (d), making them a perfect fit for doors on our 500mm-wide kitchen cabinets. Alternatively, they can be attached directly to a wall in your kitchen or larder.
ATTACHING SPICE RACKS TO CABINET DOORS
It is easy to attach our spice racks to the inside of a solid oak kitchen cabinet frontal. Start by lining up the rack on your cabinet door, so that it does not interfere with any shelves in your kitchen cabinet.
Next drill four holes evenly into each corner of the spice rack, then use screws no longer than 15mm in length to attach the spice rack to the door.
ATTACHING SOLID WOOD SPICE RACKS TO KITCHEN WALLS
Mounting a solid wood spice rack onto kitchen walls is much the same as mounting onto a cabinet frontal, though we would recommend that you use longer screws with the addition of wall plugs to ensure that the rack stays firmly on your chosen wall.
Be sure to mount it in a position that will not interfere with any other aspects of your kitchen, whilst also being easy to access whilst preparing food and cooking.
No matter how you decide to mount your spice rack, we would recommend the use of a spirit level to ensure the spice rack is situated at a straight and level position.
