Buying Samples of Our Oak Kitchens
With a huge range of components for oak kitchens on offer, we understand that many people will want to take a closer look at our solid wood products before placing an order.
We continue to expand the number of Solid Wood Kitchen Cabinet Showrooms throughout England, offering prospective customers an ideal location in which to view demonstration kitchens constructed entirely out of products from our range.
For customers who cannot visit our showrooms, or for those who would like to view our solid wood kitchen components in the comfort and natural light of their own home, we also offer a full kitchen samples service.
Kitchen Cabinet Samples
Each of the solid wood kitchen cabinets in our extensive range is constructed from panels which are manufactured from European oak.
Apart from the back panel (which is MDF with an oak foil cover), each of the panels is made using a number of 40mm staves that are finger-jointed together. The panel is then lacquered to create a hard-wearing and water-resistant finish.
To see the quality of our cabinets first-hand, we recommend ordering one of our cabinet samples. These samples are provided as a fully finished 160mm x 80mm x 18mm section of solid oak that is finished in the same processing line as the cabinet panels, and so perfectly represents both the material and the finish.
If you would like one of these samples, we charge a small fee of just £5 including VAT and delivery to cover manufacturing and distribution costs incurred, though if you then go on to order cabinets from us, we will happily discount the cost from your purchase.
Kitchen Door Samples
To finish off our stunning solid oak cabinets, our oak kitchen doors and drawer fronts are perfect companions. Like the cabinets, each of our doors is made from solid European oak panels, manufactured in Europe to our own very high standards.
These doors are available in either a Shaker or Traditional style in a range of sizes to suit our vast collection of kitchen cabinets, as well as a number of finishes.
Firstly, we offer the doors in a sanded finish that can be left as is, or treated with a product of your own choosing. Alternatively you can order each of our doors in a lacquered coating, which gives them a hard-wearing finish and brings out the beautiful colour of the solid oak timber. If you would prefer, our doors can be pre-painted in any of the colours in Farrow & Ball’s collection, to match your kitchen’s theme.
Whatever finish you desire, you can sample our kitchen unit doors by ordering one of our miniature cabinet door samples. These samples are perfect scaled-down representations of our cabinet doors, measuring 355mm (H) x 296mm (W), which are built on the same construction line as the full-sized equivalent.
Each sample costs £20 including VAT and delivery, which helps us to cover the cost of manufacturing and distribution, though if – after receiving the sample – you decide to then place a full order (including ten or more doors), we will happily refund the price of the sample for you.
Wood Worktop Samples
Once you have decided on the correct layout of cabinets and doors for your new wooden kitchen, it is then time to choose a suitable surface to finish your kitchen in style.
At Solid Wood Kitchen Cabinets we offer an extensive range of wooden kitchen worktops that are ideal for complementing the other solid wood components we sell.
Whether you prefer to choose from traditional timbers like oak, maple or beech, or something more exotic like wenge, zebrano or black American walnut; our wide selection has something to suit your new kitchen.
If you would like to see any of our wooden worktops up-close, we offer a full wooden worktops sample service. Each sample measures approximately 200mm x 150mm in either 40mm or 27mm depth (depending on the timber), and are fully sanded and finished with oil on one side, to give you a good representation of the finished worktop.
Worktop samples cost just £5 including VAT and delivery, and are cut from current worktop stock to exemplify the quality you should expect if you go on to purchase a worktop from us.
As with our other samples, if you decide to go ahead and order kitchen worktops, the cost of your sample can be discounted from the order.
