“Are your kitchen units suitable for use as utility cabinets?” Question of the Week 28.05.17
“I’m looking for some high-quality utility cabinets to go in my laundry room – are your kitchen units suitable for this, or will I need to adapt them in some way?”
Ben in Stonehouse (right on our Gloucestershire showroom’s doorstep!) is looking to purchase some Solid Wood Kitchen Cabinets from us, but would like to know if they are suitable for use in other rooms.
QUESTION:
“I’m creating a kitchen island and would like an L-shaped unit to go on one of the outside corners. Do you have a corner kitchen cabinet like this?”
ANSWER:
Hello Ben,
Thanks for getting in touch – we are pleased to hear that you would like to purchase high-quality solid wood cabinets from us. Utility cabinets are a fantastic way to organise your laundry room and we think our sturdy solid wood cabinets are a great choice. Our cabinets have been previously used by customers in a number of different areas of the home, including bathrooms and offices, and there is no reason that they would not work equally well in a utility area.
All of our cabinet panels have a lacquered finish as standard, which protects them from general wear and tear. This also shields the oak timber from water splashes, so as long as the surfaces are wiped down immediately after any exposure to water.
If you need any further inspiration for your project, we have written a guide on using solid oak cabinets in your utility room, which we think could be useful.
We would love to see your laundry room when it is finished – please feel free to share any photos with us via Facebook or Instagram. If you do need anything else in the meantime, do not hesitate to contact us again.
Kind regards,
The Team @ Solid Wood Kitchen Cabinets
