Worktop moisture barriers are required when worktops are fitted above appliances that radiate excessive heat or moisture, which includes washing machines, dishwashers and microwaves.
The moisture barriers, which are supplied in a 1M X 750mm X 3mm section, should be installed to the underside of the worktops.
A moisture barrier will prevent excessive moisture from directly affecting the worktop.
