At this time of year, the colours that tend to dominate are reds, silvers and golds. For a truly scrumptious cabinet that radiates warmth the whole year through, though, December’s Farrow & Ball Colour of the Month is the perfect shade to choose.
Farrow’s Cream is the ‘original’ cream from the Dorset paint specialists, and is a warm shade that will brighten all oak kitchens. The colour contains hint of yellow but not too much, meaning that it avoids looking garish against the rosy tones of solid wood.
Sitting right in the middle of our ‘Pastels’ collection, Farrow’s Cream has brighter tones than the off white of New White, whilst being lighter than the pale cappuccino hues of Cord.
As well as our Colour of the Month, we thought we’d also take the time in this blog to wish all of our customers a very merry Christmas, and a wonderful New Year. This year has seen the opening of our new showroom in Harlow; the introduction of curved plinths, cornices and pelmets, and our popular new oak plate racks. We even gave away a brand new iPhone 6 to one lucky customer over on our Facebook page in September.
After such a busy year, we have generously allowed our staff to take some highly-deserved rest, in order to get ready for the busy New Year. As such, our sales lines will be closed on the following days during the Christmas and New Year period:
Wednesday 24th of December
Thursday 25th of December
On the 27th, 29th, 30th and 31st of December our sales lines will be open between the hours of 10am and 2pm, so please get in touch with us during this time period if you are planning on placing an order. Alternatively, if you wish to visit our showrooms, please visit the Gloucester Showroom and Harlow Showroom pages for specific information about their opening times (which differ from location to location).
From the entire team at Solid Wood Kitchen Cabinets, have a fantastic Christmas, and a happy New Year! The team will be back to normal operating hours from Monday the 5th of January, when we look forward to kick-starting 2015 by making someone’s dream wooden kitchen a reality.
