Bright and Brilliant ‘Colours of the Month’ for Solid Oak Kitchens
Rainy weather getting you down? You’ve come to the right place, in that case – because we’re brightening up the greyness of February with an injection of fabulous feel-good colour from Farrow & Ball. Full of depth and charm, our chosen paints are a welcome addition to all solid oak kitchens and will really bring a splash of vibrance to an otherwise drab and drizzly month.
Farrow & Ball say their punchy ‘Blue Ground’ is conducive to a happy and upbeat atmosphere. This is a blue that never looks cold, and looks brilliant as a feature wall or on wooden cabinetry. Easy on the eye, this shade is vibrant without being vexing. Combined with shades of white, ‘Blue Ground’ looks crisp, fresh and a little Mediterranean.
Fun-loving yellow is up next in our exploration of ‘happy’ shades: a colour that has been proven to brighten moods and boost energy levels. This is never truer than when surrounded by Farrow & Ball’s ‘Citron’, which gives a warm and zesty sense of welcome in any room. For the more adventurous, this colour can be playfully paired with ‘Blue Ground’; alternatively, palettes of grey such as ‘Plummett’ and ‘Pavilion Gray’ complement ‘Citron’ beautifully.
Finally, our third Colour of the Month is ‘Pitch Blue’. Whilst a little more sedate than our first two choices, ‘Pitch Blue’ can be coupled with either shade for a funky colour clash. A hint of magenta adds a warm hue to this paint, and it looks fantastic next to ‘All White’ or ‘Wevet’.
