Choosing Wall Cabinets for Oak Kitchens
It would be easy to offer a prescribed set of kitchens to our customers, but at Solid Wood Kitchen Cabinets we believe in offering a wide choice to allow customers to put together the kitchen of their dreams, without the limitations of kitchen designs intended as a one-size-fits-all solution.
All the cabinets in our collection are manufactured from solid European oak panels that are constructed to the highest of standards, and can be provided either with or without matching oak doors and drawers in a finish to suit your new kitchen.
We offer a comprehensive range of base cabinets, full height cabinets and wall cabinets in a variety of widths and heights, as well as a collection of specialist cabinets to make best use of the space available in your kitchen.
Our wall cabinets all measure 300mm deep and are available in widths up to 1200mm, three different standard heights up to 900mm, and two shallower options that make ideal bridging cabinets for providing additional storage space above ovens or sinks.
The kitchen wall units in our range feature a convenient 10mm service gap, and are currently supplied flat-pack with all fixings included. Each cabinet comes with a single solid oak shelf (though additional shelves can be purchased separately if required). H570mm and H720mm wall cabinets are pre-drilled to accommodate up to five shelves, whilst our H900mm cabinets can hold up to seven.
In 2015 we updated our website to make it easier than ever to choose your desired wall cabinets, whilst also allowing you to see exactly what any of the Farrow & Ball paints or other finishes will look like before placing your order.
To order wall cabinets, simply click on the ‘wall cabinets’ option in our ‘Oak Kitchens’ menu, then decide whether you would prefer to order the cabinets with or without doors using the buttons at the top right of the page. If you decide to order without doors, you will be taken to a page that lists every combination of wall cabinets available.
If you choose to order doors at the same time as your cabinets, you will then be asked to decide between the Shaker and Traditional doors, and pick your desired finish – whether lacquered, sanded or painted. We have included some clever code on our website that allows you see exactly what each finish will look like simply by clicking on any of the swatches on this page, which then changes the finish of the door on the corresponding cabinet. Once you have chosen your preferred finish, simply click the adjacent ‘BUY’ button.
After picking your favourite finish, you will then be directed to a page which has real photos of all the cabinets available in the finish you have chosen. Click on the photo of the cabinets you would like to add to your order, and enter the quantity in the boxes on the left of the product description. Once you have added items to your shopping cart, you can jump straight back to the top of the page by clicking the arrow icon at the bottom right of the window.
After you have added the desired quantity of cabinets to your basket, click the ‘Purchase Items’ button at the bottom of the page, or simply press the enter button on your keyboard to continue to the online checkout.

To see a selection of our cabinets on display before making a purchase, we suggest visiting one of our solid wood kitchen cabinet showrooms. Alternatively, you can see the quality of our cabinets and frontals for yourself by ordering some of our kitchen samples, the price of which can be refunded if you go on to place a qualifying order.
