This black oak floating shelf is 300mm long and - to save our customers time and effort - has been pre-drilled and is supplied with the necessary shelf fixings to create the impressive floating effect.

Each black oak shelf is unique, showcasing inimitable natural features found only in real wood. This shelf has been carefully prepared using the latest innovations in wood-cutting technology and - once cut-to-size - is sanded to a 150 grit finish, then oiled to protect the surface and achieve a smooth and attractive finish.

Our floating shelves come with all the fittings required to allow for straightforward installation.

This hard-wearing floating solid black oak shelf measures 300mm X 200mm X 40mm, and comes with a contemporary square edge profile. Just like our black oak worktops, each shelf is constructed from a number of 40mm-wide wood staves, which are finger-jointed and glued together under high pressure to achieve a strong bond.

This dark wood shelf comes with two specialist floating shelf supports; for optimum stability, these supports should be fixed to a brick or stone wall. If you would like to install shelving on a partition wall, we advise fixing the supports directly into the timber studs.

Wooden shelving may occasionally feature small knots or splits; though rare, these developments are part of the appeal of real wood, and only serve to enhance its unique charm.
