Black oak is a robust material and full of traditional charm - perfect for kitchen shelving. Our 600mm-long black oak floating shelf is no exception. For convenience, each shelf is pre-drilled and provided with the specialist fixings required to create the stylish floating effect.

This black oak shelf is constructed from a series of 40mm-wide staves, which are finger-jointed and glued together under high pressure to create an incredibly strong bond, just like our black oak worktops. Each shelf is provided with a square edge profile, then sanded to a 150 grit smoothness and finished with protective wood oil, to nourish and enrich the grain.

Our floating shelves come with all the fittings required to allow for straightforward installation.

This floating solid black oak shelf measures 600mm X 200mm X 40mm, and is supplied with two floating shelf brackets. We recommend fitting brackets to a sturdy brick, concrete or stone wall. If you have stud partition walls, we suggest fixing the brackets directly into the timber studs for maximum stability.

As with all real wood furniture, small knots and splits can occasionally be present. These are considered natural developments, and part of the inherent charm of timber.
