Luxurious solid oak kitchens needn’t be the preserve of large houses with an abundance of space. Some of the nicest wooden kitchens we have seen are bijou, elegant and fit perfectly into a compact home.
Pick Perfect Oak Cabinets
Using wooden kitchen components from Solid Wood Kitchen Cabinets allows you to create a kitchen that fits your space without compromising on quality, and thanks to the vast range of different sized cabinetry available on our website, you can easily maximise the available room.
As well as the standard 570mm deep oak cabinets, we also offer a variety of cabinets that are just 300mm deep – the ideal solution if you are really pushed for space.
Don’t forget to make the most of your wall space, too. Our wooden wall cabinets are available in many different sizes, and include novel features such as bi-folding frontals that allow for easy access in all but the tightest of areas.

Make the Most of Natural Light
To keep your kitchen feeling spacious, it is of upmost importance to preserve as much of the natural light as possible. The lighter the room, the greater impression of space will be created; conversely, if your kitchen is dark it can seem more cramped.
In order to help brighten your kitchen, choose naturally light coloured wooden kitchen worktops such as maple, bamboo, oak or ash. These options, paired with cabinets painted in one of the light Farrow & Ball shades from our ‘Pastels’ collection, will help reflect light around your kitchen, giving it an altogether more airy and expansive feel.
Where artificial lighting is concerned, consider fitting lights on the underside of any wall cabinets to brighten up the worktops beneath them; ceiling lights should be inset or hidden on top of wall cabinets to ensure there is plenty of head height.
Finally, our range of glass kitchen splashbacks will also help reflect light around the kitchen, especially the bright white and cappuccino colours.
Make the Right Choice with our Sample Service
To assist you in choosing the right colour combination of solid oak frontals and wood worktops, why not try our kitchen samples service? We offer try-before-you samples of our cabinet doors that are miniature replicas of the real thing, available for just £20 in naturally sanded or lacquered finishes, or painted in any of the colours in Farrow & Ball’s range.
Considering our wooden worktops? Get a close-up view of any of the timbers in our range by ordering a pre-oiled worktop sample for just £5, a cost which can be redeemed if you go on to purchase a worktop.
