“What’s the best way to match white kitchen cupboards to white walls” Question of the Week 26.02.17
“What’s the best way to match white kitchen cupboards to white walls?”
This week, our ‘Question of the Week’ was sent in by Priya in Windsor, who would like to know how best to colour match her replacement cabinet frontals.
QUESTION:
“I’m looking to give my solid wood kitchen a quick refresh by replacing the cupboard and cabinet doors. I’ve chosen to have white kitchen cupboards but I want to know how best to match them to the colour on my walls.”
ANSWER:
Hi Priya,
Thank you for taking the time to send in your question – this is a great query as different shades of the same colour can really clash, so we understand you wanting to take the time to get it right!
White kitchen cupboards can create a really clean look and are a great choice for refreshing your kitchen. Our cabinet frontals can be painted in any of the shades from Farrow & Ball’s range, which includes a number of different white hues.
The best way to match the colours in your kitchen to the replacement cupboard doors is to order frontal samples from us in the shades you are considering. Samples cost just £20 and we will happily refund the cost of one sample per 10 doors ordered. As these miniature replicas are made in exactly the same way as our full-size doors, this is a great way to see how colours will work in your kitchen. Alternatively, we have some bespoke examples available to view in each of our kitchen showrooms if you have a paint swatch or a removable part of your existing kitchen that you are able to bring.
All White is the purest option available for truly white kitchen cupboards, but there are a number of different options available depending on what shade of white you are looking for. If you are in need of further inspiration, we have some examples available to view in our kitchen gallery. Farrow & Ball paint can also be purchased from one of their showrooms, if you really want to get a true match on your walls and cabinet frontals. They have showrooms in a number of locations across the country, including in Henley and Beaconsfield, not far from Windsor.
We hope that the options outlined above will help you to get the white kitchen cupboards that you want! We would love to see what your kitchen looks like when you have finished, so please feel free to share your pictures with us via Facebook or Instagram. In the meantime, if you do have any further questions or queries, do not hesitate to contact us.
Kind regards,
The Team @ Solid Wood Kitchen Cabinets
