How to Buy Kitchen Cabinets: 5 Steps to Successful Solid Oak Kitchens
At Solid Wood Kitchen Cabinets we’re proud to sell our kitchen furniture directly to the public, without the need for pricey designers or fitters.
Our easy-to-use website has been redesigned to make ordering solid oak kitchens as straightforward as possible, allowing you to effortlessly pick each component that will make up your new scheme.
Still not sure where to start? Read the following 5 simple steps, and you will be well on your way to creating your dream kitchen.
Measure Up
Before you choose your new wood kitchen components, you will need to measure up, and possibly draw a diagram in order to decide which kitchen units will fit best.
We recommend using ‘graph’ paper for an accurate drawing, and to ensure that you can easily scale down your kitchen’s dimensions.
For reference, all of our cabinets, worktops and other kitchen furniture and fittings are measured in millimetres.
Choose Your Doors & Drawers
Start with base cabinets first, and decide whether you would prefer our ‘Shaker’ or ‘Traditional door styles. Next you will be asked to choose from our wide range of finishes.
Pick your desired oak cabinets, which types of drawers you would like to go for, and whether in single, or double height.
Finally, click the ‘Purchase Items’ button at the foot of the page to add them to your cart.
Pick Your Worktops
Next-up, you will want to decide which of the solid wood worktops in our range are right for your new kitchen.
Our selection features 13 different types of standard worktop, and a further 5 in our ‘full stave’ variety that are ideal for an incredibly luxurious kitchen centrepiece.
If you can’t decide which timber to choose, why not order one of our worktop samples whilst you’re waiting for your cabinets to arrive?
Add Items to the Shopping Cart
Once you have chosen the required cabinets, frontals, drawers, worktops and other kitchen accessories, you will have to add them to your shopping cart.
The shopping cart can be reviewed by clicking on the ‘Your Cart’ icon in the top right of any screen. This portion of the page also tells you how many items are currently in your cart.
You can update quantities or delete items in your cart; otherwise click the ‘Checkout’ button to finalise and pay for your order.
Swift In-House Delivery
If you choose our recommended delivery service, you should receive your kitchen within 15 working days.
This service is provided by our own in-house two-man delivery team to the majority of England and Wales, and our coverage area is continually expanding.
Our two-man team will deliver your items to the ground-floor location of your choice, so make sure the route to your kitchen or chosen storage location is clear and easily accessible.
By following these instructions you will be five steps closer to creating a stunning new solid wood kitchen. If you think you may require any additional information, then please do browse our library of helpful information guides, or contact us for advice.
