Creating Traditional Oak Kitchens Using Our Kitchen Style Tool
The Kitchen Style Tool was launched earlier in the year but has already proved to be extremely popular with prospective customers, allowing them to visualise oak kitchens in their preferred style prior to placing an order.
The tool allows you to choose from a variety of cabinet door types and finishes, worktops, walls and floors in order to design a beautiful traditional kitchen theme.
If you are planning on creating a kitchen with classic details, keep reading to find out more about the key design accents that can be chosen to give your new kitchen a traditional feel:
TRADITIONAL DOORS
When creating your new kitchen design using our Kitchen Style Tool, the first step is to choose between Traditional or Shaker doors. In a classic or country kitchen setting, we recommend choosing our Traditional doors to recreate a traditional theme.
Our Traditional doors feature a centre panel with a detailed bevel, and have a smooth edge profile all around the outer edge. They can be provided in sanded or lacquered finishes, or painted in any of Farrow & Ball’s elegant shades.
CLASSIC HANDLES & KNOBS
After choosing the finish of your Traditional doors, you will need to choose a suitably classic handle or knob to accessorise them with.
Our wide range of kitchen cabinet door handles includes a vast number of classic choices that are perfect for creating a traditional kitchen look.
Choose from antique pewter, cast iron, cracked ceramic or solid wood options.
A WIDE RANGE OF WORKTOPS
Our collection of wooden worktops are an ideal surface for kitchens with a traditional aesthetic.
Choose from traditional favourites such as oak or beech, or something with a more luxurious appeal such as iroko or European walnut.
We also have a range of full stave worktops that feature extra-wide planks of timber that run the full length of the surface – perfect for a classic kitchen island feature.
TRADITIONAL FLOORING
We do not currently sell a range of flooring to complement our wooden kitchens, but the Kitchen Style Tool allows you to play around with a selection of flooring choices to suit your kitchen’s design.
All the flooring options on our Style Tool are suitable for traditional kitchens, but to complement our wooden worktops, we recommend that you choose an oak flooring option.
FINISH YOUR WALLS IN A CLASSIC COLOUR
After choosing the other key components that make up your dream kitchen’s design, the last element to decide upon is the colour of your kitchen’s walls.
The Style Tool allows you to choose from a range of Farrow & Ball colours that are perfect for classic kitchen walls, such as James White, Cabbage White and Manor House Gray.
Our Kitchen Style Tool is an incredibly useful tool for inspiring your dream kitchen design, but we appreciate that nothing quite compares to seeing our solid wood kitchen components in person.
