Another week, another new range – slow down, I hear you cry: but it’s not an option! We’re on a quest to make the Solid Wood Kitchen Cabinets collection as comprehensive as possible; and, with that in mind, we are delighted to introduce the newest addition to our family of products: the Solid Wood Kitchen Cabinets wirework line.
This competitively-priced wirework selection is manufactured within the United Kingdom from chrome-plated mild steel and all are soft close (where applicable). As ever, we keep the entire range in stock for swift delivery.
Furthermore, those clever technical brains at Solid Wood Kitchen Cabinets HQ also made customer convenience a priority when designing the collection: as such, the wirework can be fitted to our cabinets retroactively or at the same time as the initial installation. It can even be purchased separately to fit in cabinets from other suppliers (please note that in order for the wirework to fit correctly, the corresponding cabinet must consist of 18mm panels).
To top it all off, the collection is DIY-friendly: assembly requires only hand tools and full instructions are supplied.
Please take a look at the recently-updated Wirework page to get an idea of the exciting products now on offer – and if you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us.
The seasons are changing – and so are the trends! As such, the Solid Wood Kitchen Cabinets team have turned their beady eyes to Pantone, the leading experts on colour. Every season these global colour specialists release their predictions for the hottest seasonal shades.
For autumn 2012, we’re seeing a move from cool pastels and fresh greens (Farrow & Ball’s Mizzle was top of the spring pick list) to stunning citruses, intense, earthy darks and some warmer pastels.
For cabinets, white is still leading the pack: designers continue to rave about the freedom it brings to a colour scheme, allowing the introduction of strong accents – particularly applicable this season – and clean lines. Rustic and industrial themes are also tipped to be popular; we advise pairing New White or White Tie cabinets with chocolate or cappuccino shades like Oxford Stone, London Clay or Tanner’s Brown.
Pantone tips tangerine as a signature shade for autumn, making it the perfect time to plump for a feature cabinet run – such as an island – with frontals painted in a bold shade like Charlotte’s Locks (available as part of our bespoke Farrow & Ball option). This dazzling splash of orange might not be for the fainthearted, but is sure to brighten up your kitchen as the nights grow long!
Negative space has long been a bugbear to kitchen designers – what to do with those pesky nooks and crannies which could be valuable for storage but aren’t easily accessible?

We’re all a flutter here at Solid Wood Kitchen Cabinets HQ due to our recently-unveiled handles collection!
When compiling this new range we worked in partnership with one of Europe’s largest handle specialists to provide an excellent selection of styles and materials perfectly suited to solid wood cabinets: cup handles, knobs, drop handles and fixed, in pewter, solid wood, and stainless steel (to name a few).
All are available at competitive prices and on next-day delivery – but without any pressure to buy. It really is the customer’s choice. If you see something you like, it’s as easy as that; if not, the cabinets and frontals can be ordered as standalone products.
Should you feel unsure regarding which handles would suit you best, please feel free to visit our newly-opened showroom. We have eight fully-finished kitchen sets which pair different door frontals with handles beautifully, plus a handles board displaying the entire range.
